The Admiral brand, owned by the Whirlpool Corporation, was once the manufacturer of a large number of home appliances, including ovens, ranges and stoves. These cooking appliances were available in both gas and electric options. Today the brand mainly produces washers and dryers, which are sold at Home Depot stores only. Used Admiral stoves, ovens and ranges are still on the market, sold through individuals and used appliance vendors.

History of the Admiral Company

In 1934, Ross Siragusa established the Continental Radio and Television Corporation, a manufacturer of home appliances. In 1940, he incorporated the company under the name Admiral. Throughout World War II, the company manufactured electronics for the military. After the war ended, the company grew and began to make other household appliances. The 70s began the long process of the company's sale to various larger companies. The brand was eventually sold to Whirlpool and is now exclusively available at Home Depot stores.

Product Parts and Repair

Admiral product parts can be purchased from appliance parts sellers online and at local dealers. Appliance shops and professionals who work with appliances can service Admiral stoves, ovens and ranges. Since Admiral cooking appliances are no longer in production, their warranties are likely invalid or expired.
