Haier is an international home appliance manufacturer that produces a number of stoves, ranges and ovens. Their
cooking units range in size from 20" to 30". They manufacture both gas and electric units. While the company
describes their stainless steel units as modern-looking, they also offer a number of classic mono-chromatic white
stoves.
Haier's gas ranges feature welded steel grates finished in porcelain, which the company claims helps prevent
rusting and cracking. All of their electric ranges have a porcelain finish on the top panels and the burner boxes
and coil heating elements.
Haier's History
The Haier Group was established in China in 1984. Since then, it has become the largest manufacturer of home
appliances in China and the fourth largest manufacturer of white goods in the world. The North American branch of
the Haier Group was founded in 1999 by Michael Jemal. The company is based in New York City and manufactures a
wide range of cooling, refrigeration, laundry and cooking appliances.
