Gaggenau's History

Gaggenau traces its history back to an ironworks company founded in 1683 in the town of Gaggenau, Germany. For many years the company produced agricultural tools and machines. At the end of the 19th century, Gaggenau expanded its production to include consumer products like bicycles and stoves. In 1961, Chef Georg von Blanquet led the company towards the production of home appliances that followed restaurant standards. The Bosch and Siemens Home Appliances Group took over the company in 1995. Gaggenau now has locations in fifty countries around the world.
