"Terrible manufacturing processes"
I worked at Decora, what a joke their manufacturing is. They have outdated equipment not designed or capable to push through the volume of daily cabinets their schedule demands. There was one machine they called the CML. I ask someone what the stood for and was told Curley, Moe, and Larry!! Unbelievable, daily meltdowns, and panics. The sub assemble employees are scheduled for 12 hour days just to make sure they are available late in the day to clean up and rerun the replacement parts that were unacceptable for shipping. Lots of breakdowns with machines, no climate control so in the fall when the weather changes, panels coming out of finishing can have a run of 40-50 in a row coming out with dark color. Final assemble employees spend a large amount of time with crayons type stains devices covering up flaws from the finish process, band aids for poor quality. As they are a semi custom cabinet producer, believe it or not, the computer capacity lacks the ability to print out all the correct specs on small tickets that ID the specific process for panels and other parts comprising the cabinet. Two separate employees daily have to review hundreds of the tickets that get affixed to cabinet parts to correct the errors. 100% inspection never results in 100% results. Bottom line many cabinet parts are actually run to the wrong specs, resulting in excess time and labor used making the wrong parts. Amazing! This is skunkworks manufacturing! I could cite many more examples of flawed processes. Bottom line is Decora has terrible process control at almost every machine and process in the plant.

"Love these cabinets!"
I am a kitchen designer and the ease of working with Decora is just wonderful. We also have a really great, supportive rep that helps us when issues arise. People need to take "perfect" out of their expectations when ordering cabinets - as it just doesn't exist. If you're expecting zero flaws upon delivery then you might need to adjust your expectations (when dealing with ANY cabinet brand). I've worked with many, many lines over the years and they all go through their ups and downs. A tip: Make sure you go through a well respected dealer who will troubleshoot for you and the process will be so much easier. Aside from selling these cabinets regularly, I used Decora in my own kitchen and it came out beautifully! I would recommend Decora to any client.

"Never Buy These Cabinets"
My house is on waterfront property. When shopping in the area for cabinets, no one mentioned anything about humidity requirements or warping. Had the cabinets installed and within weeks the doors all warped. I have cabinets in my laundry room, bathroom, and elsewhere that have not warped at all. Decora initially replaced the doors, but they warped again. All they had to say was that it was humidity that made the doors warp. I have no idea why anyone would sell me these cabinets knowing where I live. Decora didn't seem to care at all. For their price, they are cheap and poor construction. No other cabinets in my house have this problem. And I keep the AC or the heat on to maintain the climate year round. Will never buy Decora/Diamond/Omega again, and will not recommend them to anyone.

"Poor service"
Ordered $30k if cabinets thru Home Depot, decora cabinets. Supposed to receive order July 26. Then was told on July 20 by decora rep they had held off production on lower cabinets because they weren't sure about trim on microwave cabinet. O one had bothered to call or ask to resolve their supposed question. This delayed cabinets till August 24. Received upper cabinets although I asked them to hold for lower cabinets. Disappointed with quality of back of cabinets, very thin veneer of plywood with 3/8" strips for mounting, although their advertisement said 1/2" plywood sides, I wrongly assumed this included the back too. Everything glued and stapled, not one screw. Poor quality given the cost. Very disappointed in Home Depot and decora. Decora Rep has not responded to my calls or emails.

"Decora"
I bought Decora cabinets for my kitchen five years ago. The paint was so smooth and all doors finished nicely. I was a happy customer. This year I added tall pantry to my kitchen and no surprised the pantry had same color and finish as same as my existing kitchen. It blended very well with old cabinets. In another word --> The cabinets I bought five years ago just like new one even I have been use it for five years already. Very happy with Decora Cabinets. The Best Quality!

"Avoid Decora"
I purchased Decora ultra white painted cabinets from the Home Depot. I was open to other brands of cabinets but the sales/designer steered me towards Decora. Saying how great and beautiful these cabinets are. I made a mistake. The purchase took, as expected, 6-8 weeks to arrive. The shipping boxes came in near perfect condition for their sizes. Great!, I thought. As I started to open the boxes to install the cabinets, I started to notice some unsightly finish issues. The finish issue was with most of my upper cabinets and panels which are poorly sprayed. The sides of the cabinets at the frame where the doors attach to that is exposed and highly visible have barely any paint on them. They are stand alone cabinets and not connected to another so it matters. As I continue, I see damage that must have occurred in the factory because I had a 1 inch chip in the painted plywood veneer and I couldn't find the paint flake in the sealed undamaged shipping box. Ok, contacted Home Depot for replacements. No problem extremely nice and understanding. 1st reorder took 5 weeks to get do to the Christmas holiday. That reorder came damaged and a bow in one of the cabinets. Ok that sucks. 2nd reorder took 3 weeks to get, damaged, finish issues again with no paint. It's like they spray the front and doors twice and the over spray is good enough for the sides. I do not think they even prime the cabinet prior to paint. Called the store and she asked if I'd like a company representative come out to my home. Of course I would! Both Home Depot and the Rep came and he acknowledged all the imperfections, photographed and pleaded with me to give him one more chance to get it right. He said he'll send out a furniture refinisher to refinish the NOT SO BAD cabinets and the other rough spots. Refinisher!! they are brand new I said this is unreal. Another 3 weeks pass and 1 cabinet came from the 3rd reorder and its worse than all of them! And the best of all there are 2 inspection bar codes on top and 1 is a green color with a name (obviously a I can't see it from my home supervisor sticker). With all the damage, poor quality finish and defective cabinets (bows and crowns) I've requested a full refund and waiting to hear back. Over helpfulness and understanding at the retailer quickly turned south, they clammed up, and circled the wagons. 19 weeks without a kitchen is absurd and totally unacceptable. In all fairness and an honest review I feel the cabinet itself is very well made pending no defects but the quality of the finish can only be compared to a back yard paint job on a Mercedes Benz, zero quality control and careless craftsmanship. Something is wrong at the plant in Jasper, ID. and they should be ashamed.

"Top $$$ for junk"
Bought $25k worth of Decora cabinets a year ago. From the moment they came out of the box they looked cheap, flimsy and thin. The dealer convinced me they were well made - showed me how well the box was constructed. Maybe they're well made boxes but the appearance is what people see... and it looks cheap. Most manufactures try to make cheap stuff look expensive. Decora makes expensive stuff look cheap. A year later and I'm still replacing doors, getting adjustments, and still dissatisfied. At last count, twenty-four doors have been reordered with many of them on their third or fourth attempt to get an undamaged one. The dealer, the regional representative, and Decora Inc have been totally unresponsive. Buyer beware! This company makes junk.

"Cracks, splits"
Bought new kitchen cabinets, Decora Prescott, off-white. They are not one year old, do not have heavy use, and they are showing cracks or splits where the cabinets come together. First it was one under the sink, then more appeared. Do not buy these. What a rip off and more.

"Incompetent Morons and Liars!"
Decora Cabinetry is a sham of a company robbing the public of their hard earned money. We purchased Decora Cabinetry and were told they had a 4 -5 week lead time. During our design process their designers were incompetent and despite providing numerous examples of the style of vent hood we wanted took weeks to finally get it right. During this time we explicitly asked them to not delay our order while this was going on, we even offered to use a separate purchase order. Despite being assured that the remainder of our order would not be delayed we have now found out they delayed it anyway, 5 weeks!!! They have completely blown our remodel schedule costing us thousands. When asked why our order was pushed back so far they told us there were "higher priority" orders that had come in after ours.

"Terrible Construction"
The construction quality of these cabinets is terrible. The bottoms of two cabinets were not flat and had a crown in the center (center of bottom was higher than each side). The front frame of another cabinet was not connected properly. The middle vertical portion was bowed out which now causes the cabinet door to bang in the middle even though there are rubber bumpers at the top and bottom of the door. The corner braces of another cabinet were not glued/nailed properly and were either not connected at their locations or were barely connected. The cabinets were painted white and I had to return countless trim items because of the bad paint job. I am a detailed person but I am only pointing out the obvious items. I never thought I would have to inspect the cabinet construction before installation. I will never buy a MasterBrand cabinet again as evidenced by terrible construction and quality control.

"Cracked door and drawer fronts"
In one year we have replaced 3 drawer fronts and 1 door front because they cracked at the seam. Just received the latest drawer front replacement and now a drawer slider track fell off. Just really bad craftsmanship. The kitchen place we went to no longer sells Decora and were told to deal directly with the Decora rep. $25,000 for junk! Angry and disappointed.

"No quality assurance what so ever"
Thirty percent of all supplied cabinets were damaged. The level of packaging and protection is abysmal. The replacements took weeks and were damaged. It's been a catalog of problems that has meant my installation has taken over 3 months. The latest problem is that the replacement doors are a different paint color to the originals. Maybe it has been so long that the originals have darkened due to oxidation? The actual cabinets are OK but nothing special. We have painted cabinets and they are constructed of ply and maple.

"Do not buy Decora"
I purchased over $16,000 worth of Decora cabinets, believing they were a solid wood, high quality cabinet. They are junk. There is no quality control or attention to detail. Issues: 1) shipping damage (poorly packaged in cardboard boxes for shipping with only cardboard corners on cabinets for protection ) I had damage( broken doors, smashed corners)on several cabinets 2) finish My cabinets were painted white. One cabinet door had a completely different sheen level than others. Areas on several door fronts at joints where lines of brown(interior color) show as if paint did not reach The bottoms of the upper cabinets are brown except for the glass fronted cabinets, which have white interiors and white cabinet bottoms. It looks like a mess. Some white and some brown bottoms. This was very visible on the cabinet above the refrigerator. I believe if you pay for painted cabinets, that the entire visible exterior of painted cabinets should be painted, not just the fronts The bit of cabinet below the doors at the base of the upper cabinets is very short and if you choose to install them, does not hide the under cabinet light fixtures. 3) alignment Many of my cabinet doors and drawer fronts were misaligned. Some were adjusted by the cabinet salesperson, but several were so out of whack they had to be replaced. 4) detail At least 2 of my cabinet and drawer fronts had dings in them which were simply painted over. I had to have these replaced. 5) appearance. My doors and drawer fronts were full overlay style. On a double door upper cabinet, the space between the closed doors is different depending on the size of the cabinet. Wider cabinets have a wider space between the doors with a stile in the middle and smaller cabinets do not. When you have a larger and a smaller upper cabinet next to each other , the spacing between the doors is different, and it looks terrible. This is supposed to be a semi custom high quality cabinet line, and it is not. I had to pay my installer considerably more because he had to spend a great deal of extra time correcting shoddy quality issues and my kitchen completion was delayed by the wait for replacement doors, drawer fronts, etc. I have no idea how these cabinets will hold up under use, but if I could return all my cabinets, I would happily do so. Do not buy this brand!

"High Cost Low Quality Cabinets"
My contractor convinced us that Decora was a high quality cabinet line of the Master Brand Corp. Sample cabinet doors, literature all looked great. Three times, Decora has delivered replacement cabinet doors to our contractor and every time the doors were cracked and chipped. Every reorder is another 6-8 weeks waiting for new doors. Our contractor has refused to replace a new warped door because that's what happens to 4 ft cabinet doors. Some cabinets were delivered with holes drilled improperly for the shelving. Don't even think that you are getting a high quality finish. The doors scratch very easily - 3 months in use and I already have a few scratches and we aren't hard on our cabinets. The cabinets aren't bad just not the high quality advertised.

"Decora is a disappointment"
Was extremely disappointed in the quality of these rather expensive cabinets. After only 4 years the paint is already wearing off everywhere your hands touch them and there are chips in most places where they come in contact with any kind of water spills.(this is a kitchen) Corners are fraying. They cannot be repainted to obtain the same finish so you are basically out of luck since they insist that this is not covered under their warranty and it is considered "normal" wear and tear. Their Long Island rep. Was arrogant and his mind was made up after a very quick glance at $9,000.00 worth of cabinets. So basically they are meant to look beautiful but not be used!

Unsatisfied. When first installed had to have several of the cabinet doors replaced due to cracking. Now other doors are showing problems along the edge. We have also had major issues with the hinges, and now can not get replacements, door will not shut properly.

"Terrible cabinets"
Terrible quality! The cabinets arrived damaged and replacement pieces also arrived damaged. On my third reorder! The cabinets that are installed scratch and damage when you walk by. I am bitterly disappointed. We paid for high end, quality cabinets and got trash! We would have been better off buying particle board. What a disappointment. I have waited years for new cabinets and have purchased $20,000 dollars worth of junk.

Review:
"Faded, grainy, look old."
I ordered a rich, dark, chocolate cherry. In fact the Decora sample was nearly visible against my parent's old formal cherry dining room set. On the day the cabinets were delivered and installation started, I couldn't get home from work fast enough. I was so excited to finally visualize my new kitchen. Immediately upon seeing the cabinets, I thought there was a big mistake. They were not dark at all. In fact pink, faded and bleached while splotches of black covered other areas. They were so grainy! The labels on the boxes confirmed the color was in fact cherry, mink espresso. On the cabinet doors, you can see the seams of maybe 8 to 12 planks with different grain patterns and color absorption on each. Each door looks like a hardwood floor - thin planks with different patterns. Some areas are bleached out like I commented and the black areas look like dirt. In essence, they look older than the 1980 oak cabinets that were removed. At most, the designer can get Decora to replace a few doors. I am sickened and ready to eat $18k to get these ugly things out of my house. I have been taking notice to cabinets for years. Pinning and friends houses etc. I have never seen anything comparable to the stripes, visible seams and number of planks and graininess. The contractor says he wants to help fix so I will come home, put my purse down and love my new kitchen/ family room. I can not even look at the cabinets without wanting to pick them up and throw them outside. How will some door replacements and my new appliances make me love these cabinets. Stay away from Decora. It takes a lot for me to complain. Wish I could post pics.
