Vinotheque Wine Cellars

Vinotheque builds and sells custom wine cabinets and wine cooling systems. Much like custom kitchen cabinets, wine cabinets can be customized with a wide variety of woods, fixtures and fittings. The company has been in business for more than 20 years. Originally known as Nordicorp, the company was sold in 2000, and the new owners changed the name to Vinotheque.

Vinotheque Products

Vinotheque offers wine cellars ranging from 300 to 2,000 cubic feet and cabinets holding up to 570 bottles. Their designs include traditional and modern looks. The cooling units feature WhisperKOOL® technology, which ensures that wines are stored at the optimal temperature and humidity levels. Customers can choose from many styles of cabinets, cellars, and doors. They can also request custom-made cabinets.

Vinotheque wine cellars include a 1-year limited warranty on labor to repair defective cooling systems. Vinotheque may also choose to replace the cellar during this period. Any repairs must take place at an authorized service center. Cooling system parts will be replaced during the first year of ownership and compressor parts are covered for five years. Cabinet wood and workmanship are also covered by warranty for five years.

StratsPlace has several reviews of Vinoteque wine cabinets. Three reviews report a perceived indifference on the part of the manufacturer to support their product. Two mention the high quality of Vinotheque's cabinets.

Fine-Wine-Guide.com has a couple of reviews of the Vinotheque Prestige and Mignone cabinets. Both reviewers gave the cabinets an 8 out of 10 -- one said that it didn't do quite as good a job of keeping a cool temperature on hot days as a Eurocave model, but that it was more attractive.
