"Amana Automatic 25 Refrierator. My Likes and Dislikes."
I have owned this Amana Automatic 25 refrigerator for 15 years and have not had the first problem with it other than a light bulb going out. The automatic ice and water dispenser is located between the upper and lower freezer sections at hand level making it easy to get ice and water whenever I need them without having to open the freezer which saves on my power bill. The light located on the dispenser makes it even easier at night because I don't have to turn on the lights in the kitchen to see what I am doing. I also use this light for a night light in the kitchen. Being a side by side refrigerator gives me more room to store frozen foods without having to stack things on top of each other. The see through glass shelves in all compartments gives me an easier job of finding what I am looking for and are removable for easy cleaning. The three drawers in the refrigerator section gives me a better choice of what to keep where. The temperature selection on one of the drawers gives me the option to keep meats for a longer time without having to worry about spoilage. As for dislikes about this refrigerator I do not have any ! I would buy another of this same model today if this one were to stop working. I highly recommend this model and have talked a couple of my friends into buying the same model.

"The Amana is a great buy."
We have had the Amana French door refrigerator for about 1 year now and we love it. It takes up less space than the old refrigerator we had and it has the energy star logo, so it uses much less energy. The doors on this refrigerator give us much more space than the old side-by-side we had before. I also like the fact that the freezer is on the bottom. It is the best refrigerator that we have had up till now. It looks great in the kitchen and matches all of our other appliances great. It is also great to have ice again, since the ice maker on our old refrigerator broke years ago. We got it for a very reasonable price and we got the $150 credit from the government. All in all it was a great purchase and we are very happy with it. I would recommend it to anyone.

"Customer Complaint-Side-By Side Refridge"
We purchased model # ARS2664AB, S/N 0009247612. We paid close to $2,000 for what we thought would be quality refrigerator with a good reputation. Your product performance is unsatisfactory. I will NEVER buy another Amana appliance again. The unit leaked all the freon out and is no longer working. We had this less than 10 years. I am not sure what kind of product you are manufacturing, but there is something seriously wrong with your company's claim to manufacturing quality products. I contacted a repairman to come and look at the refrigerator. He told me it would cost $700 just for the part to fix it. He also stated that he received a call from another client on the same unit with the same problem. Apparently the copper tubing was of poor quality and had tiny holes all over it. I wonder how many other of your customers bought the same piece of junk like we did. I had to go out and buy a new refrigerator because it was cheaper to buy a new one than repair yours!!!

"Best refrigerator I've ever owned"
I've been the owner of this refrigerator for about 6 months now, and it has honestly been the best I have ever owned. When my last refrigerator stopped working I did some research before purchasing a new one, and this model was the best bang for the buck I found. It has a very nice design, sleek and modern and fits in with my kitchen very well. It's also very quiet, you would never know it is there! The inside of the refrigerator is very well designed, there is a spot for practically everything. We had a party a few weeks ago and had way more food than we normally do, that wasn't a problem at all with all the room inside. The adjustable shelves are also a VERY nice feature, I own this abnormally tall cooking pot that doesn't fit into most refrigerators, but it does in this one! I'm looking to buy a new fridge to put in the garage for drinks, and I will definitely purchase another one of these.

"Over Ten Years Old and Still Going!"
I have owned this refrigerator for close to 15 years now, and it has been the best appliance I have owned to date! When I first had it installed I was not sure I would like it because it was so much bigger than my previous one! After using it for a few weeks, though, I feel in love with the size. I can adjust the shelves to fit different products and the dual light bulbs in the refrigerator really light up the products. I would have liked it if the bottom two drawers were easier to remove for cleaning purposes, but they do come out with a bit of wrestling. So far I have had to replace a light bulb that burned out, which took under ten minutes and was easy to accomplish. Incredibly, the light bulb that came with the unit lasted over 12 years, which seemed incredible. Over all, this was a great bargain after all these years, and I truly enjoy this refrigerator.

"Mom's Refrigerator Review"
I have owned this refrigerator for over five years and I do love it! This style has the freezer on the bottom and it is so convenient. Throughout the day I use the refrigerator storage many time more than the freezer section. I only go into the freezer section once or twice a day but the I'm constantly in the refrigerator portion. The only thing I dislike about this product is I wish the exterior and handles were made of a material that is a little easier to clean. I purchased the Amana brand because growing up that is the only brand we ever owned. Whenever the old Amana was replaced in the main kitchen it was put down in the basement to use as a spare. They lasted a lifetime and I trust this brand for providing a quality product. Overall I am very satisfied with my Amana refrigerator and I would recommend this particular model or any Amana product to my friends and family.

"Temperature control issues"
I have owned this refrigerator since 1996, so about 14 years now. For how old it is, I guess problems are to be expected. This model is nice because it has the water and ice dispenser, something that the fridge I had before this didn't have. I also like the see-through shelves and the overall design. However, recently we have been having issues with the fridge's cooling mechanisms and it not being able to keep food at the proper temperature. Basically what happens is the food is not being kept cold enough when the fridge is about half full or more. If I give the fridge a good cleaning and get rid of all the bad food, the problem isn't as bad. This problem is annoying because the whole fridge will start to stink and I have to throw a lot of food away. We have never had to repair anything on the fridge and this problem is relatively recent (past year or so) so it might just be time to replace the entire unit. Before this problem, the fridge has served its purpose and has not had any problems. Because it has worked without fail for so long, I would still recommend this model to a friend, thought I would warn her about the temperature issues we have experienced and let her make an informed decision based on that.

"amana fridge failure after 18 months"
our failed after a year and a half. repairman says it could be a freon leak and could be very hard to find...and if he doesn't find it we'll have a fridge we won't be able to rely on. all this trouble after just a year and a half. we're scrapping it, and never buying amana or maytag again

"Amana Model BX21V1"
Amana Model BX21V1 purchased in 2001 and compressor (mfg'd in Brazil) completely failed in May 2010. The replacement quote for just that part of nearly $300 rendered this appliance worthless and a total loss. I also own a Whirlpool refrigerator model ETJK2L that has been in service since 12/1991 when I purchased the property and for some time prior to that without any problems other than a burned out interior light. It goes without saying which brand will replace my dead Amana.
