Review:
"Great stove for a small household"
This is an excellent stove for normal day to day use. It takes less space than most stoves on the market and can fit in small kitchens well. It can be cleaned easily and also has a good finish to begin with. The model I have is white with white door for the oven and interior is black. It has never had required any repairs as such but when we clean it, we take care that we take out the pipes that carry the gas and clean them as well. If we were to buy a new one, and if this brand model was available on sale, I would definitely buy it. The only thing to dislike may be that it is old design and has no clock or timer in built.

"Buying a home with a Wedgewood Stove..would like literature on how to operate, maintain."
Upon inspection of a home we want to purchase, we were perplexed as to whether we would enjoy this stove. We are uncertain about how to clean it....burners and griddle really need cleaning. The condition of the body is excellent. What is the "drawer" with the round vented plate for? What are the cavities (2) for at the very bottom? It has a mounted light on top center, with a tray that holds a vintage salt/pepper set, too. Are there operating manuals on these old stoves?

"Old wood cook stove at its best!"
I grew up learning to cook on this stove that sat in my Grandmother's home. It is one of the original Wedgewood wood cook stoves, single oven models. It has a warming oven on top and has 6 burners. It's a beautiful robin egg blue and creamy white color. The tricky part is to control the heat in the oven to maintain an even baking temperature, but applewood does a great job for that. The stove is now ours in the home we plan to more into. It's a great heat source and still does all my cooking when I'm there! After all these years the only work it might need is a bit of work in the firebox!

"More than 50 years"
My mom just passed away. I know she had this gas Wedgewood for more than 50 years and my aunt had it before then! It's been in use all this time. Still looks good. I saw one like it in the movie "Waitress".

"wedgewood built in double ovens"
My house was built in 1964. I have the original double electric Wedgewood built in ovens and the original Wedgewood vent-a-hood. Only the timer doesn't work on the ovens. The range is Kenmore, but probably was a Wedgewood originally. All are the 1960's brown!! I'm not the original home owner,if I was I would have maintained everything on the ovens.
