"Constant buzz"
Stove is great and love the features, but if you have anyone with sensory issues in your home, this product emits a constant, high pitch buzz whether it is in use or not. The noise is worse when in use.

"Oven won't heat to temperature"
Just put all new GE appliances in our 36th house (we buy and sell)...the stove hasn't heated to temp from day one ...GE sent an appliance repairman and after 58 minutes the oven still hadn't heated to temp...meanwhile our kitchen becomes insanely hot because the oven vent lets all of the heat out into the kitchen...now GE wants to get a second opinion...they just need to buy back the stove and we will buy another product

"Caught fire while off for 3 days"
We were home, but hadn't used the oven for a few days. Woke up at 4am to beeping and bad electric smell. Both elements were on and flames were coming out of the back where the control board is located.

"Too many service calls"
4 years old. Top panel on stove was replaced. Nothing has changed. Temperature can be off by 90 degrees. Rep said 30 degrees off is perfectly normal, which is ridiculous. Timing meals can be a crapshoot. Done with Profile.

Last friday and will never buy G E again.

"Top grates"
I have a stand alone range that's 7 years old. The last side grating has been replaced 2 times. After some use it warps from heat and makes it difficult to keep pots sturdy. Sometimes unsafe. I do my recommend.

"Oven Failed Immediately and cannot get service because of tech no shows and cancellations."
Do Not Buy GE Appliances! Bought a brand new suite of GE appliances. The oven almost immediately failed. The service techs that handle warranty calls failed to show up 3 separate times. There are no answers from GE on why they cant show up? It will be 6 weeks before my brand new oven is fixed. If they even show up for appointment number 4. Its been a horrible experience. Do not Buy GE

"The most unreliable stove ever used"
I have had this glass top stove for a couple years now and I have a serious problem with the temp accuracy design. The stove top being glass and it does not heat accurately or consistently. I will never buy one again and would severely discourage anyone considering not to buy a GE glass top stove. If you set it on "Low" it has a nervous breakdown and seems to end up staying on to long and burns your food. It does NOT have a steady consistent ongoing heat level but rather turns on and off trying to stay at med or Low. High is not a problem it never shuts off but the rest is a crap shoot and for the price this should be a much better stove or least one that doesn't ruin your food. Seriously it is poorly designed and it is not because I can not cook as I have been a chef for many years. I'm done with it. Get gas

"Landlord"
No fault of GE but u/l regulations requires it the new unit have coil burners with a temperature sensor in the middle of them. The problem with this is when you'll decide that your burners getting too hot or the bottom of your pan in your kitchen is getting too hot it turns off the burner. Until the burner reaches the temperature that you L seems appropriate for you in your kitchen. Does not matter if you want the burner to stay on constantly so that the water so that the water continues to boil all the time. Really nice to cook spaghetti and come back out and see halfway through cooking the coil burner it's not hot any longer until it goes through it's cool off stage that you are has decided if that's how you should cook in your kitchen manufacturers can no longer put burners on there that do what they're supposed to do turn them on reach the temp you want continue to do that until you turn them off. Who is united laboratories Anyway. How are they allowed to control how we cook our food now they're not a government agency I looked into United laboratories and there is a private company that has their nose and everything for our safety don't forget it's for our safety and they know what's best.

"Poor operating stove top n oven"
Put this new GE Stove top and oven in my newly remodeled kitchen in the spring of 2019. The burners are difficult to control the heat, they turn off at any time during cooking by themself, it takes forever to warm up a pan unless you turn the heat to HIGH and then lower it, the low levels are not reliable, sometimes Level 1 boils the product, sometime level 2 just keeps the product warm. The convection oven is not accurate for its degrees, the inside oven glass cracked spring 2021 and needs to be replaced. With all these problems I’m beginning to think about a replacement for this, less then 2 year old, appliance. Will not purchase a GE stove/oven again

"No parts"
We bought a GE profile range in 2010 and recently the control circuit board stopped working. The appliance repair guy came out and said there were no parts available to replace the circuit board. You would think that a big company would have had this part but they don't. It's discontinued. Glad they don't make cars

"Do Not Buy GE Stoves!"
Do not buy GE stoves! The stove has not worked properly since the day it was delivered. GE came out 3 times to try and repair it. When they could, the technician said it was installed wrong - in other words, it was not plugged in correctly. Really??? Then the technician said the electrical plug was not working properly. I had an electrician come out and he said that the plug was perfectly good. GE is still refusing to replace the stove. Do not believe the warranty and do not expect any customer service.

"Reset clock fiasco"
The electricity went out overnight, so I had to reset all the clocks in the house. The directions for resetting the clock on my GE electric range, as I understood them, did not work. I called GE for troubleshooting help. While waiting for a call back I went on YouTube and found out how to reset the clock. The directions in no way resembled the directions on the control panel. Not difficult, but in no way anywhere close to the directions you need. If this happens to you, go straight to YouTube for your answer and avoid the frustration. BTW, I've had this range for 2 years and 20 days and I've had to have a service repair person come about 2 months ago for something unrelated and thank god I had purchased the extended warranty, because the original warranty was for only one year.(remember when appliances came with a 3 - 5 year warranty? When did that change??) Anyway, NOT impressed with GE, will NOT be purchasing this brand again. Garbage.

"Smooth Glass Top Not so Smooth"
I have always purchased GE products as I feel they are well made, have a good warranty and are in the average price range. However, like all businesses that provide appliances for consumers GE finally went over to the dark side. My 'new' ge glass cook top stove is a shame. Only two years old, the large front right burner is badly scratched from pot use (Kind of what the appliance was purchased for) And there is a white cloud that rings the burner that will not come out no matter that I clean it bi-weekly with bar helper and soft scrub with the recommended pad. It looks unsightly and I feel the scratches are going to cause a crack in the glass. Shame on GE. I called their service center twice and was told that it is out of the warranty period so there is nothing they can or will do. They admitted that the surface irregularities are not normal but would take no action to satisfy their customer; They naturally assume we're the cause, not their inferior product. And a new glass top? $350 plus shipping. Since the glass top is the reason for purchasing this model, I can not say anything good about it. I will refrain from purchasing any GE products from here on out; I could have bought a Frigidaire for much less.

"GE leaves out a lot you need to know."
I purchased, changed over to Propane, and Installed this GE Gas Range. After you download the GE Owners Manual that does not come with the stove you will discover a few important omissions. The page that explains the Oven Door is for a door your stove will not have. The Online GE Appliances website has an instruction explaining how to remove yet another oven door, one that GE hasn't sold in 15 years. The Orifice changes needed to use Propane tell you the wrong tools you'll need, leave out any clear instructions, and just plain leave out the rest. I am very satisfied with the results of the work I did, and the GE stove now installed in my kitchen, but I've had easier Root Canal Surgery. You can contact GE Appliances for on line help but they post Saturday and Sunday hours till 6 PM EST, and that's just a lie. The tools to change the orifices in each of the four stove top burners are not what a GE Tech uses, they have a special tool for him. This leaves you doing something not unlike The Old Children's Game " Operation" except if you drop the orifice for your new GE Stove it's gone forever. Oddly enough none of the Documents GE supplies with your new stove mentions any of this. So when the instructions say 'remove the oven door' they turn that into a Catch 22, because nowhere can you discover from GE "How To Remove" your oven door . . . or re-install it once you do. I'm betting a few folks at GE Tech Services still get Belly Laughs over that one. One tool you will need to install that new GE stove, The patience of a saint. Good Luck!

"Bad"
the top scratches very easily. The left front double burner stopped working at age 2 years. When disassembled, found all the wires completely burnt out at the switch. Basically could have started a fire. Replaced the switch and all the burnt wires, the element still doesn't work. No sign of quality workmanship or materials. I would rate it junk. Do not buy.
