"Go ahead, buy this junk, I wont pity you when it fails"
I should have done my own research before purchasing anything from this line. The title is a little rough, but I would rather get in someones face; to save them from the aggravation. I purchased an Haier up-right freezer, not refrigerator, and it stated it is a "frost free" model. To be honest, whenever I opened this thing up it always had [some] frost over the coils? Well, if anyone understands the refrigeration/freezing science, knows that frosted over coils, means airflow is massively reduced and items inside begin to thaw. Just to clarify, this freezer is rarely opened, I know that opening freezers, frequently, allows for humidity to enter, causing more frost over coils. I also have a chest freezer, we keep our faster moving items in there, to reduce opening the up-right. That poor chest freezer, that thing is almost triple the age of the upright, and looks like it was dropped off the back of a truck, but I have never had one ounce of trouble with the chest freezer. Because it was not made by HAIER. Yes, I have contacted the manufacturer regarding this issue, I bet you all can guess what the entire correspondence detailed, and the outcome. So, I found myself monitoring this thing to insure it doesnt wind up out of the blue failing on me. Had to purchase a temperature alarm for it. Batteries get expensive. But of course this isnt a fairy tale, it failed while we were out of town. Lost close to $400 worth of food. Do your research people, or do what I do, dont, and pay later. There are other brands/models in the same "Collective Enterprise" as Haier that you should also keep clear of. I'm not sure I should mention them, since this was a rant about Haier. You will see them if you look them up though, and it doesnt surprise me, all the collective brands, I have heard nothing awesome about each brand appliance line. Designed to be disposable

"ice tray"
My ice maker tray cracked. Trying to get new part don't make anymore, can't find it anyplace. The refrigerator is only 4 years old, that's not right they don't have any. Not even replacements.

"HTE18WAABB"
Haier Model HTE18WAABB is an 18 cu refrigerator that only worked for 3 years. Can't get assistance from Haier and extremely hard to obtain parts. Liked the price and looks when purchased new, but if it won't last any longer than this ?? Then it costs as much to repair as when purchased new. I will not buy this brand again.

"Small sturdy mini fridge that keeps your foods and drinks ice cold"
I have owned this mini fridge for about five years. It is very light weight, and travels anywhere you need it to go. It has worked every time I have needed to use it. I am pleased with its reasonable price and sturdy build. Its small but keeps everything in it ice cold. If you wanted you, could use it as a table or chair. However, there is one thing I did not like, I have noticed that the gasket near the hinge has started to curl up. The good news is it does not hinder the performance. I did not need to repair it as the problem was only superficial. If you find this fridge new or used and you need a small fridge, buy it. There are not enough good quality appliances built these days that are as high quality as this mini fridge. This fridge makes me happy I spent the money.

piece of crap not even a year old service has been out 5 times. lost food 3 times.
