U-Line markets refrigerators, refrigerator/freezers and combo ice-maker/refrigerators under the trade names Origins and Echelon. The Echelon series features the high-end models, while the Origins are a bit more basic. There are several drawer models, one of which is a two-drawer unit that freezes, makes ice, and refrigerates. Another refrigerator/freezer unit offers a vertical freezer. The Clear Combo refrigerator/ ice maker produces up to 40 pounds of ice per day and provides an additional 2.5 cubic feet of refrigeration.

History

Henry Uihlein, Sr. founded U-Line Corporation in 1960. In the 1930s his father designed and produced the first chest freezer for farm and home use. The business is still family owned and operated, with the emphasis now on under-counter and built-in ice-makers and refrigerators.

Warranty

U-Line provides a one-year warranty on parts and labor for all refrigerators. In addition, they offer a five-year warranty on components within the sealed refrigeration system. These include compressor, condenser, evaporator, by-pass valve, dryer, and connecting tube. These warranties apply to U-Line refrigeration sold and service in the US and Canada.
