Jenn-Air markets many refrigerator lines, including standard bottom freezer and side by side refrigerators, side
by side with bottom freezers (the so-called "French door" bottom-freezers), under-counter refrigerators
and wine chillers. Jenn-Air also markets a wide selection of built-in refrigerators in the $5,000 - $7,000
price range. Jenn-Air is owned by Maytag.
Jenn-Air models come in a wide range of finishes, including stainless steel and aluminum with black, mint and
grey colored panels. Other optional features include an energy saving sensor that detects a change in
temperature when the door is opened, child-proof locks, a water filter status indicator and an automatic
night light. All of Jenn-Air's side by side refrigerators qualify for the Energy Star seal for energy
efficiency.
History
Louis Jenn founded the Jenn-Air Products Company in 1947, and began manufacturing refrigerators in 1986.
Maytag acquired Jenn-Air in 1982.
