Electrolux Refrigerators

Electrolux sells only side-by-side style refrigerators. There are four models offered: two counter depth and two standard depth. The more expensive model in each size features Wave Touch™ controls which are not visible until activated by touch. The other models have IQ-Touch™ controls which remain continuously visible.

Other than the displays, all other features are the same on each model. They include Luxury-Design™ glass shelving advertised to slide in and out effortlessly, Luxury-Design lighting that claims to be a design feature in addition to offering illumination, and a 9" tall water and ice dispenser that will accommodate tall containers, such as coffee pots or large capacity glassware.

Electrolux advertises their refrigerators as also having reliable air and water filters, storage drawers that slide easily, Fast-Ice™ ice makers, a built in alarm to signal when door is left open, and plenty of storage space. They are also ENERGY STAR® compliant which means they are energy efficient, an important feature for one of the highest energy consuming appliances in a home.

History

Electrolux began in 1912 when Axel Wenner-Gren from Stockholm, Sweden introduced the first vacuum cleaner, the Lux 1 for homes. In 1925 his company came out with a refrigerator and has since continued to expand their product lines to include commercial foodservice appliances, laundry, dishwashers, ranges, cooktops, and much more. They serve 40 million customers in 150 countries each year. Electrolux credits their success to bringing consumers products that are efficient, easy to use, and easy to maintain.
