Crosley manufactures a full line of refrigerators, chest freezers, and compact appliances. The Crosley
refrigerator line includes: freezerless refrigerators, top freezer refrigerators, side-by-side
refrigerators, bottom freezer refrigerators, compact refrigerators and compact kitchens (refrigerator
units with small sinks and two electric burners).
Crosley offers refrigerators in a variety of finishes, including white, bisque
(off-white), and stainless steel.
History
Crosley appliances were first introduced in by Powel Crosley in 1920. He was a well-known NBC broadcaster, as
well as an inventor and entrepreneur. Crosley believed strongly in selling through independent sellers rather
than large chain stores, as he believed that they provided superior service to their customers.
The Crosley corporation has a long history of releasing innovative products.
For example, in 1933, Crosley received a patent for putting shelves in refrigerator doors (the "Shelvador").
In 1953, Crosley became one of the first manufacturers to introduce a line of refrigerators that dispensed water.
Crosley refrigerators are only available through independent appliance dealers.
