"Kraftmaid kitchen cabinets are quality made middle priced cabinets."
I have Kraftmaid kitchen cabinets installed in my kitchen. I wasn't sure that I wanted to go with the extra expense of installing these mid-priced cabinets, but I am very content with my choice. I feel the slightly higher price was worth every cent. I have had other cabinets without half the satisfaction. I really like these cabinets. I enjoyed the fact that many things were customizable. We were able to select hardware, adjustable shelves, pull out drawers as well as the wood color of the cabinets and the style. These were the features we chose. However many other selections were available including pantry style, pull out organizers, etc.; the actual choices appear limitless. I have never had cabinets that I have enjoyed as much as these. These cabinets are not the cheapest, but neither are they the most expensive cabinets that on the market. These cabinets are a middle of the road priced kitchen utility; a necessity that is affordable, versatile and useful as well as enjoyable. On top of all this Kraftmaid stands behind their product.

"Kraftmaid junk"
One of the worst experiences of my life. I wanted to buy American and
good quality. I was mistaken!!!!! Made a special order to KraftMaid
through Home Depot. Vanity skirt delivered busted. Reorder is now 4
weeks old and no skirt. I'm getting ready to install the vanity and took
out of the box. Doors and drawers are all off. Zero quality control.
Buyer beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Kraftmaid kitchen and bath"
We have had out kitchen and bath cabinets for about 3 years now. No issues, We paid for the upgrade to solid wood rather than the composite product and feel that it makes a difference on durability. The hardware (hinges, closers, runners etc.) have all held up well so far with no issues. We have recently moved and plan to add Kraftmaid cabinets in our new kitchen.

"Kraftmaid cabinets are wonderful."
I purchased these cabinet from Home Depot in 2010. I installed them myself. The quality of the cabinets was apparent from the time I opened the boxes to today. I like the way all the components fit together perfectly. The drawers open easily and extend fully so I can get at things way in the back. The cabinets are very sturdy and hold all my dishes and pots with no problems like sagging or bending. They are very heavy and solid. I ordered the cabinets with sliding shelves in the base cabinets and they make getting at stuff easy. I especially like that everything is made of solid wood and not plastic or fiberboard.
The finish I chose was Autumn Blush. It is very good looking and in the year or so of owning them, has not stained or been damaged by water or other goop I spilled on them. I like it that all the hinges and drawer guides come with a lifetime warranty. I like the way the cabinets look with our dishes especially through the glass doors I ordered for the wall cabinets.
Installing the cabinets was a challenge as I had never done it before. But after I installed a couple of cabinets it all made sense and by purchasing the correct clamps and other tools, it became easier. The fact that all the cabinets were very sturdy and did not flex when I was holding them up to screw them in made it a little easier for me and my helper.
The only downside was that they were a little more expensive than I had figured but then, you get what you pay for.
I would definitely recommend Kraftmaid to friends and would buy it again myself.

"Worst 15K I ever spent"
You might as well pick the off the shelf units Home Depot sells. I spent
15k on a small galley kitchen, order was "f'd" up, had to wait 30 days
to fix and still not right.
How you can charge that much for crap I don't know but it has cost Home Depot a very large customer.
Stay away from this company's product and save yourself the pain I went through.

"Cherry Wood Cabinets"
I too ordered the Cherry Wood Cabinets. There were gouges, holes as big
as 1/4", poorly stained areas, areas that sander lines (scratches) could
be seen, paint runs. Quality control at Kraft Maid is very poor. Met
with Kraft Maid rep and am in the process of having had a second set of
doors sent. So far 17 have arrived can only use 4. The doors sent are
worse than the original. If they had no cracks they had paint runs and
sander marks. Since they are so expensive if I could do it over would
have gone with custom cabinetry and not dealt with either Kraft Maid or
Home Depot.

"KraftMaid Cabinets: Great Quality, Great Price"
Renovating a kitchen can be an overwhelming task. Each aspect of the project, whether it be choosing a faucet or evaluating appliances, requires a homeowner to evaluate hundreds of options before making a decision. However, few aspects of the project are more prominent then the cabinetry. Setting the tone and dictating the color scheme in the kitchen, selecting cabinets is a "make-or-break decision," and one that I did not take lightly. Luckily, I elected to go with KraftMaid, and I could not be more pleased.
From the get-go the process was "user friendly" and I was able to place my order and receive the product quickly and without any delay. Installation was also a breeze. The cabinets fit perfectly! (Note: I have never installed anything, anywhere before this! I am a total renovation rookie.)
While there was some 'discoloration' on one of the doors, it was within the range of what was presented to me as a possibility, and therefore I did not consider this to be a flaw. Frankly, I'm fairly certain no one would ever notice it if I didn't mention it. Otherwise, the color is gorgeous, as are the details on the doors.
My only true complaint is that the doors can be loud. Meaning, if I open one too quickly and it smacks into the wall, it makes a nasty sound. I'm fairly certain this is because the doors are light, and therefore there isn't a whole lot absorbing any of the 'smacking' sound. (Note: I do not mean to imply the doors feel cheap, as their light weight was one of the features I originally noticed. Instead, they feel light and airy, as opposed to a heavy, dark wood that I would envision being used in a darker kitchen.)
Overall, I could not be more pleased with my purchase and would recommend KraftMaid cabinets to anyone considering a cabinet purchase.

"Great KraftMaid cabinets in our new kitchen"
We recently remodelled our kitchen and decided to install KraftMaid cabinets along with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. We've had the kitchen done for about 3 months and love it more every day. The slab style doors with brushed metal handles look very sleek along side the appliances which gives the kitchen a modern look. The old cabinets were cheap melamine particle board nightmares but we were able to get furniture-grade plywood and all wood doors when we bought the new ones. Not only does the wood look great, but it is strong enough to actually support the granite that we wanted. So far we have no complaints about the cabinets: they were all delivered as ordered and the installers didn't have any problems with the fit. Everyone that comes over tells us how great they look and I can't say enough about the quality and ease of ordering them. I only regret that we didn't use Kraftmaid when we remodelled our master bathroom a couple of years ago.

"Poor Finish"
We purchased Kraftmaid custom kitchen cabinets from Lowes. The quality
was much worse than the Kraftmaid cabinets that we bought 30 years ago.
The color match among the different cabinets was very poor. The bezel on
one cabinet door was crooked. The end grain on most of the door panels
was poorly sanded, porous and rough, and several shades darker than the
face of the panel. The construction was ok. Two of the shelves were
badly warped and were promptly replaced after calling customer service.
After complaining about the quality to customer service, we were visited
by an account representative who agreed to replace several of the
cabinet doors. He was very defensive about the poor quality, saying that
we should not expect much more for the price we paid. I definitely do
not recommend this brand.

"Review of Vintage Biscottie w/ Cocoa Patina KraftMaid Cabinets"
After months of looking for perfect cabinets to pair with my kitchen renovation plan, I found my Vintage Biscottie w/ Cocoa Petina cabinets from Kraftmaid. Roughly six months ago I had them installed. I love that they are such a versatile finish. I am able to repaint and tile my kitchen in the future without any issues with the color scheme of my cabinets, they are very neutral. Also, they are the easiest upkeep. They are very easy to clean and keep looking brand new. A little bit of lemon water and bleach is all I need to keep them looking flawless. Finally, the cabinets are built very sturdily. They have plenty of space on the inside, but are extremely solid. They can be slammed and filled with heavy dishes, but still remain intact. My only complaint is that the cabinets were pretty expensive, and cost far too much to install. Also, the warranty on them was not great. However, if I could buy the same brand again I would. I would also recommend them to anyone looking for new cabinetry.
